Rose Park derives its name from the area’s original developer, who shaped the streets to resemble roses. American Beauty Drive, one of the main streets in Rose Park, acts as the steam of the rose. All the street names in the neighborhood are coined from a rose variety. To further the name of the neighborhood, all of the original shingles on the roofs were red and green.

Approximately 70 years ago, Rose Park had large plots, and after World war II, the area experienced a surge of growth and all the vacant lots were purchased and built upon.
