Rose Park, Salt Lake City Overview
Located in the northwest portion of Salt Lake City, Utah, Rose Park is one of the most diverse neighborhoods. Though the neighborhood itself is very small, it is close to Fair Park Community, Glendale and Capital hill.
Rose Park derives its name from the area’s original developer, who shaped the streets to resemble roses. American Beauty Drive, one of the main streets in Rose Park, acts as the steam of the rose. All the street names in the neighborhood are coined from a rose variety. To further the name of the neighborhood, all of the original shingles on the roofs were red and green.

Approximately 70 years ago, Rose Park had large plots, and after World war II, the area experienced a surge of growth and all the vacant lots were purchased and built upon.
Rose Park has become a popular neighborhood among young people. The appeal of Rose Park is that it is affordable for the first time home buyer and not far from Salt Lake City and it is one of the only neighborhoods where this is possible. Homes for sale in Rose Park range between $170,000 and $300,000 with the majority of the real estate in the neighborhood consisting of single family homes and condos.

North West Middle School services families in Rose Park and is located just 5 minutes from the neighborhood. West High School is one of Utah's largest and oldest high schools and is also a top ranked school. There are a few Catholic Schools nearby such as Judge Memorial Catholic School and Our Lady of Lourdes School.
